When Jooles and Ben met, they pretty soon discovered that they shared the same likings for music and bands. They both played guitar and they would sit together for hours, playing covers and singing along, very often joined by Julia's Sister Anne, who already then had a talent for always finding the right notes for the backing vocals. "Back then we used to cover Beatles and Hole, with Anne sometimes playing the Bass", Julia remembers. Ever since then Julia and Ben would write Songs together, and on some occasions perform on Venues.

Ben: "we always wanted to have a full Band, so we tried various musicians, but back then, at that age, we would very often only find people who were more interested in acting like a musician than beeing one." Most of the time they would appear guitar and vocals only in small Pubs, like the Wild Rover in Aachen. "The Wild Rover has always been a kind of musical home for us", Ben says, "we made our first small steps there, and we met a lot of interesting musicians, like Paul Chadwick or Skoob there. We also had our first Gig there". So how did they manage to get a band together in the end? Ben got to know Armin, who played Violin. When Ben was asked to play for a small venue, he set up a small show with armin on violin. "We would cover songs where you would either find a violin or at least use it somehow, you know like 'come on eileen'or stuff like that. "Later that show, Armin played with his Band", Ben recalls, "and i rememer that i pretty much liked the drummer for beeing so accurate." A few days after the Show, Armins Band broke up and Armin asked Ben if he would be interested in forming a band and acquiring the drummer. "Sure, why not!" Julia: "when we first rehearsed, we played our songs and Mario immediately played along on drums. He actually really prepared and had been listening to our songs. We played...i think it was 'hangover'one of our first songs, and when Mario started drumming i looked at Ben and all i saw was this big massive grin on his face. We knew then 'this is it!'". Only a Bass Player had to be found. Ben's brother, also beeing good on the guitar, was asked if he could imagine switching to bass. He did and the Band was complete. So that makes 2 sisters, and two brothers? Doesn't that cause problems? "No" Julia says, "we pretty much sort things out on a very fair level. Actually the fact that Anne, Ben, Bill and I have been knowing each other for about nearly 20 years makes us a kind of family. We discuss problems openly. Sure we fight a lot, but we quickly get over it".
